Thomas Vansteenkiste has been a lawyer since 2017 and specializes in intellectual property law, ICT law and privacy and data protection law.

In addition to his law degree (UGent), Thomas obtained a ManaMa in intellectual law and ICT law at KU Leuven in 2020. In 2021 he obtained his certificate as Data Protection Officer.

He successfully completed his lawyer's internship in a law firm specialized in broad corporate law. In October 2020, he switched to Mr. Franklin.

There he further focused on registration of trademarks, author contracts, IT contracts and guidance of companies in the context of the GDPR. Thomas regularly provides training in his professional fields and in 2021 he co-authored the book "The GDPR in the legal profession".

Outside the office walls, Thomas makes a creditable attempt at walking or cycling with varying degrees of success, but most of all he likes to stay in a cozy eating and/or drinking establishment and he likes to lose himself in an exciting book, film or TV series.
