Pieter Van Aerschot is a lawyer specialising in intellectual property, privacy and insolvency law. 

 

In 2008, he joined a medium-sized law firm in Bruges with a focus on broad corporate law (commercial law, company law, contracts, M&A...). During this period, he gained the necessary experience in both legal advice and guidance in legal proceedings for companies. 

 

In 2016, he became a recognised mediator in civil and commercial matters. From this experience, he tries to reach a pragmatic, amicable solution for his clients in discussions as much as possible. As of 2016, he is regularly appointed by the court as a receiver, liquidator, provisional administrator of companies and gives lectures in his areas of expertise to entrepreneurs, numerical practitioners, lawyers and magistrates.

 

In 2018, he was itching for a project of his own and, with great enthusiasm, he founded the law firm Mr Franklin together with Olivier Sustronck. Henceforth, he specialises in intellectual rights, privacy and insolvency law, as well as counselling start-ups. As a certified Data Protection Officer, he further assists companies with GDPR implementation. 

 

In his spare time, he enjoys sports (tennis, paddle, football, skiing...), travelling and having a nice chat with friends.
